Check in with the real-world during #ONA12 with Chartbeat Big Boards

Entering ONA2012’s main ballroom for one of the inspiring keynotes or popping down to the Midway for some startup innovation, you’ll walk right into the Chartbeat Big Board. These big bad boys feature the top stories appearing across several major news outlets, so you’re constantly in the know about what’s capturing the world’s attention without missing a single second of your favorite sessions on the future of online publishing.

The Big Board outside the main ballroom will be loaded with stories from Fox News, The Washington Post, and CNNMoney — the ultimate cross-section of outlets covering major news topics.

Downstairs in the Midway, our second Chartbeat Big Board will be serving up headlines from publishing innovators across industries, categories and sizes. You’ll catch the most popular stuff on every site from Gizmodo to The Daily Beast and even Kickstarter. It’s providing unconventional content in an unconventional space. Since the Big Board was originally created from one of Chartbeat’s Hack Week Labs projects — the brainchild of one of our developers during the hack week we hold every six weeks — The Midway is the perfect place to show off this super-fresh content.

You online news nerds are living in a world of information 24/7, and you have to stay connected to deliver that news — checking in on the world through the Big Boards during breaks and session transitions is an easy way to do just that.

If you want to chat more about the coolness you’re seeing on the Big Boards, Chartbeat, or the future of publishing in general, we’re hosting an open-bar Happy Hour on Thursday from 6-7pm at Mijita. Mijita is in the SF Ferry Building, just steps away from the Hyatt, and we would love to see you there.

We’re pretty excited that this partnership with ONA2012 allows us to celebrate the data-centric and dynamic world of journalism that we at Chartbeat get to live and breathe every day.
